Native plants are those which have adapted to thrive in our climate and with our weather. They provide appropriate food and shelter for our wildlife throughout the year. Because they are adapted for our area they often require less maintenance than non-natives.

All of these plants are native to Maryland and naturally occur in the Coastal Plain region, which encompasses Anne Arundel and Calvert Counties.
