Our goal is to engage all community members at all levels about all things environment.

As members of the Manhattan Beach (Maryland) community, we aim to increase stewardship of the environment and our watershed by maintaining and improving the community's natural spaces and helping homeowners do the same using best management practices (BMPs) and science. We aim to do this in several ways:

 

• Build a sense of pride for the natural spaces of our community

• Mitigate erosion of our community beach spaces

• Improve (reduce) our community's collective stormwater / pollution runoff

• ​Increase use of native plants (hopefully reduce monoculture lawns)​

• Reduce pet waste pollution

• Remove invasives

• Increase wildlife habitats

• Provide opportunities for youth to participate in stewardship activites

  • Clean-ups​, Nature walks, Environmental programs 

• ​Put community residents in touch with local resources that can help improve our natural spaces.
